what is the solution to 11/(2x+5) = 12/2x

So for this problem, you have to cross multiply, numerator to denominator.
11 * 2x = 2x+5 * 12
22x = 12(2x+5)
22x = 24x+60
-24x -24x
-2x = 60
Divide both sides by -2
X = -30
