Difference Between Analogical and Symbolic Representations:

Symbolic Representation: type of mental representation that does NOT correspond to the physical characteristics of which it represents. 

Analogical Representation: type of representation that shares some of the physical characteristics of an object.

Symbolic does not, Analogical does.
