A segment has an endpoint at (2, 1). The midpoint is at (5, 1). What are the coordinates of the other endpoint?

(8,1) since the midpoint is 3 away from the endpoint, it must also be 3 away from the other endpoint

Since point A and the midpoint are in the same y axis, we can assume that Point B has the same y value(1).

Point A = 2, Midpoint = 5. (Difference is 3, so 5 +3 = 8)

Point B = (8,1)
