The school buys 820 new books which are put onto new bookshelves. If there are 34 books on each shelf how many shelves must Mr Baldwin put up?

Number of books = 820

Number of books on each shelf = 34

Number of shelves = 820 ÷ 34 = 24.12
⇒ 25 (since shelves must be in whole number)
