I consider Kentucky to be the most important . Abraham Lincoln said himself , that Kentucky was the reason they won the war... Kentucky started out as a neutral state but eventually joined the confederates which turned the tides. Kentucky has very harsh terrain father north which could be a strategic advantage during a battle. The south were use to flat terrain.
