$3.75 x 6 =22.50 so Mike has just enough to rent paddleboards for him and his friend for 3 hours with a total remaining of $2.50

Well, I multiplied 3.75, and 3 and 11.25 came out of it since Mike and friend both need a paddleboard for 3 hours I multiplied 11.25 by 2 and the result was 22.50. Mike will also have $2.50 left.
