What universal themes does Josephine Baker explore in her speech? What makes these themes universal?

 The line in her speech for evidence is: “So over there, far away, I was happy, and because I was happy I had some success, and you know that too.”  In the speech of Josephine Baker, she tells us the following themes and these are: chase of freedom, longing for equality, and the strong point of numbers. She speaks of when she went to another country so that she feel what is like to be treated similarly and to discover happiness and achievement.
