1 pound is 16 ounces so 16*5 is 80.
80 divided by 8 is 10.

If each pie needs 8 ounces of apple then Rosa can make 10 apple pies. 
16 ounces are in 1 pound. So, [tex]16*5=80[/tex]
Next you divide [tex] \frac{80}{8} =10[/tex]
The answer is 10 pies.
