A law is something that is proven but will not change. This is a law of nature, it has been repeatedly proven to be accurate and genuine. A theory is something that could be true, but also could be proven wrong. Newton's 2nd law of motion is a scientific law. It is true, and nothing could change that.

I hope this helps!
