I write out all the whole numbers, starting from 1. if i wrote 1994 digits altogether, what was the last complete number i wrote down?

from numbers 1 to 9 = 9 digits
.. .... .... 10-99 = 2*100 =200 digits
.. .. .. .. ... 100-699 = 3*600 = 1800 digits
Total = 2009 digits

2009 - 1994 = 15 digits less which = 5 numbers

So the last number would be 699 - 5 = 694
