you can. first multiply both sides of the fraction by (3+5i).
2*(3+5i)/(3+5i)*(3+5i)

(3+5i)*(3+5i)=34

2*(3+5i)/34 divide each side by 2
(3+5i)/17
[tex] \frac{3}{17} - \frac{5i}{17} [/tex]
