To determine the percentage of silver in the alloy, we simply have to divide the mass of pure silver by the total mass of the alloy and multiply the quotient by 100%.

      P = ((54g) / (54g + 18g)) x 100%

Simplifying,
   
     P = 75%

Hence, silver is 75% of the alloy.
