The area of a mirror is 225 square inches ,and its width is 13 3/4 inches will the mirror fit in a space that is 15 inches by 16 inches? explain

No it will not.

Since we know the width, we know that the area has to be 13 3/4 inces times something to equal 225 square inches. This number is 16 and 1/3 inches. Since the area is 15x16, the mirror cannot fit.
