One pear weighs 85 grams how many pears would be in a bag weighing 1 kilogram? Round to the nearest whole number if 1 kilogram costs$5 how much would one pear cost?

1 kg =1000 gms  so by the problem 1000/85 =11.76 or 12 pears cost $5 1 pear would cost 5.00/12= 42 cents each
