The period of music between 500 and 1450 c.e. is known as the Post-Classical period.
In history, as well as in music, it refers to the era following ancient history, but preceding modern history. This is the period where a lot of music was created, however, that music was obviously not saved. Only during the modern era of history and music do we have some samples.
