The 5 CD's cost $49.75.The sales tax = 0.07 (49.75)The sales tax = 3.49 (they round up)The change is 60 - 49.75 - 3.49The change is $6.76

Ok, the CD's cost in total  $49.75....The sales tax is = 0.07 * 49.75 (multiply them) so the sales tax = $3.49 (don't forget to round up)So now at up the cost with the sales tax...49.75 + 3.49So now you take the $60 and subtract the overall cost....(60-53.24)
Then you have your answer
$6.76
