Structurally, the joint found between adjacent vertebral bodies is a fibrocartilaginous joint which is a combination of fibrous and cartilaginous joints.The two pubic bones are joined by a fibrocartilaginous joint.It's function is to allow slight movement of the vertebrae, and acts as a ligament to hold the vertebrae together
