The quastion is asking us to subtract the quotient of 18 and 2 from the sum of 22 and 9. Quotient of 18 and 2 = 18/2 = 18 : 2 = 9. Sum of 22 and 9 = 22 + 9 . And if we have to subtract 9 from 31 the solution is: 31 - 9 = 22. It can also be written like this: ( 22 + 9 ) - 18 / 2 = 31 - 9 = 22. Answer: 22.
