The sum can be rewritten as y=4x, where y=f(x).
Now, we can rewrite the equation a x=y/4
Therefore, inv(f(x))=x/4

the inverse would be found by switching the X and Y and then solving for Y. So, you would solve for Y when X=4y resulting in inv(f(x)) = x/4
