The Minoans were the people of Crete Greece and are considered Europe's first high civilization. There is some mystery behind the Minoans civilization because things such as their artifacts are nothing like those found anywhere in nearby Greece, so it is a unanswered question as to where the Minoans came from. Their language is also still undeciphered.
