Let's solve for y.

11−12y=3+6x

Step 1: Add -11 to both sides.

−1/2y+11+−11=6x+3+−11

−12y=6x−8

Step 2: Divide both sides by (-1)/2.

−1/2y−1/2=6x−8/-1/2

y=−12x+16
