Use the formula Density = mass / volume D= M/V M= 18.9 gm , V=1.12 mL, D= 1.12 gm/ mL But If we divide mass / voulme M / V = 18.9 / 1.12 = 16.875gm /mL So the ring is not made of pure gold as the density of gold is 19.3gm /mL
