Horatian ode is a type of short, lyrical poem. It got its name from Horace, a famous ancient Latin poet. Nowadays, people who write in this style use short stanzas consisting of only two to four lines, and are usually devoted to someone close to them. Odes are generally written to praise someone or something, and this is no exception.
