4^4 because of exponent laws.

When you divide two exponents that is attached to the same base (4), you need to subtract exponents (8-4=4)

4^4 = 256

65536 / 256 = 256
 (4^8)   (4^4)

I got 256 by 4^8 = 65,536/256=256, which you can double check by squaring 256^2 because half 4 is 8 meaning 8/4 = 2 so you can square 256 just the same.
