Cathedral is a Christian church that houses the seat of the bishop.
Cathedrals are often decorated with what intricate wood carving in a variety of figurative and abstract styles, stained glass ,medieval paintings, large number of exquisite gospels texts illuminated by master craftsmen. Gothic sculpture is employed throughout the cathedral, for example in the form of narrative reliefs around the doorways. The sculptures illustrate stories from the Bible.
