First, we are going to keep the fractions like this: [tex]\frac{a\cdot \:d}{b\cdot \:c}[/tex]
Divide the fractions
[tex]=\frac{7\cdot \:48}{24\cdot \:35}[/tex]
Multiply the denominators...
[tex]=\frac{7\cdot \:48}{840}[/tex]
Multiply the numerators...
[tex]=\frac{336}{840}[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]=\frac{2}{5}[/tex]
