How can reading out loud help you understand difficult lines in Shakespeare plays?

I've performed Shakespeare and reading the lines out have helped me a lot. Why? Because your brain analyses the words and if you read it inside your head it's only "skimming" through it. You aren't really processing it. Also if you need help with Shakespeare use Sparknotes!
