If A(x', y') & B(x",y") the the distance AB is given by the following formula:

AB =√[(x"-x')² + (y"-y')²]

Plug into the above with A(4,5) and B(-4,11).

AB =√[(-4-4)²+(11-5)²] =√(-8)²+(6)² = √(64) + (36) =√100 = 10
