It has chemical energy, if the bar is consumed the body will break it down so it can be used in ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP is what we call the energy molecule for all living things. Without it you and I just wouldn't be able to exist. Anyway, this what we call potential energy, this is due to the fact it must be eaten before the energy can be generated.
