Find the average rate of change of f(x)= x^2-5x+2 from x=3 to x=8.

Simplify your answer as much as possible.

rate of change will be the difference in f(3) and f(8). solve for the 2 first:
f(3)=3²-5(3)+2 = -4
f(8)=8²-5(8)+2 = 26

than find the difference in f(3)-f(8)= -4-26  = -30
