equation of a line that passes through (x₁,y₁) and has a slope of m is
y-y₁=m(x-x₁)

given
the point is (3,-2) and slope is -2

y-(-2)=-2(x-3)
y+2=-2(x-3)
solve for y to get slope intercept
y+2=-2x+6
y=-2x+4
