What is an equation of the line that passes through the points (2,5) and (8,2)? Put your answer in fully reduced form.

slope=m=(2-5)/(8-2)=-3/6=-1/2

y=mx+b

y=-x/2+b, using (8,2) we have:

2=-8/2+b

2=-4+b

b=6

y=-x/2+6 or more neatly

y=(-x+12)/2
