to find an equivalent fraction of a number, you just multiply or divide the numerator and the denominator by the same number....

for example:
1/5 = 2/10 since you multiply both the 1 and 5 by 2.

for 3/12..... it can be reduced if you divide both the numerator by 3..... you can figure it out ;)

First, multiply the numerator (to the left of the slash) then denominator to the other fraction. Numerator to numerator... denominator to denominator.
