triangle area formula: base*height/2
so, 14*10/2 = 7*10 = 70 sq. in.

The answer is 70 because the formula for a triangle is A=1/2 base x height 
 
First you multiply 14 and 10 and get 140
 
Then you have to divide it by 2 and get 70
