To work out the perimeter P of a semicircle you need to use the formula for the circumference of a circle divided by two plus the diameter.

P = [tex] \pi [/tex]d/2 + d
   = 3.14*35/2 + 35
   =109.9/2 + 35
   = 54.95 + 35
   = 89.95in
