What happened was that on 2nd of may, a cyclone made landfall in Myanmar that lasted for over two days and resulted in deaths of 84,500 people. Another 50000+ went missing and were never found. The only positive thing about it was that the fear that disease would kill thousands more never realized, so the second wave of deaths never occurred.
