For starters, knowledge is power. It’s always a threat to anything, but it’s also a great gift. When there’s enough knowledge in a large mass of people, said mass has power to overthrow those who are placed in power by “democracy.” Students and their ability to assess information isn’t a threat to true democracy, but with America’s excuse for democracy, students will be able to see through the façade and bring power to the people where it belongs.
