The distance traveled in 10 sec is 250m

Solution and concept

Given:

Initial velocity, u = 0

Acceleration, a = 5 m/s2

Time elapsed is t = 10 seconds

The distance traveled in 10 seconds by the particle when accelerating at 5 m/s2 is given by,

[tex]x= ut + \frac{1}{2} at^{2}[/tex]

Putting the values,

x= 0 x 10 + [tex]\frac{1}{2} (5) (10)^{2}[/tex]

x= 250 m
