because the middle kingdom was a time for knights and all these new stuff for the egyptians that they needed to stay alive through the middle kingdom

The Egyptian middle kingdom was considered a golden age because the Egyptian kingdom expanded and successfully managed to take advantage of natural sources, leading to achievements in literature, art, sculpture, etc.

The period after the Middle kingdom also happened to be seen as chaotic and disorderly.
