(-4,5)(3,-9)
slope = (-9 - 5) / (3 - (-4) = -14 / (3 + 4) = -14/7 = -2

y = mx + b
slope(m) = -2
use either of ur points...(-4,5)...x = -4 and y = 5
now we sub and find b, the y int
5 = -2(-4) + b
5 = 8 + b
5 - 8 = b
-3 = b

so ur equation is : y = -2x + (-3) which can be written as : y = -2x - 3
