Volcanic mountains form when molten rock erupt into the earths surface. And folded mountains form when rock layers are folded into a wave shape form, because of the tectonic movements under the earths crust. Fault block mountains form when bedrock is broken up creating displacements. It's due to the weakness in the earths crust.
