In the Middle East, droughts are more common because of the climate and there are a very limited number of freshwater reserves. Places like North Africa as well, experience pressing water shortages because of climate change, and rapid polulation growth increases the demand. Water shortages are becoming worse to the point where certain regions are becoming uninhabitable.
