The American wealth is highly concentrated in the north east of the country. The region is made up of nine states, which are: New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode island, Connecticut, new York, new jersey and Pennsylvania. In 2005, the state of New York alone accounted for 8% of United States of America Gross Domestic Product.
