The Greek poet Homer is said to be the author of The Iliad and The Odyssey. It said that the stories were told before they were actually put down on paper. Which are very similar stories. They both talk about rescuing Helen, who is a Greek queen, and is kidnapped by the Trojans. Hope that helps.
