Radical 2x+5 equals x

1. Square both side.

2x+5 equals x square

Move everything to one side.
X square-2x-5=0

Since this time, we can't factor very well. We need to use the quadratic formula.

-b+- square root b square- 4ac divided by 2a

This gives: -(-2)* square root( 4-4(1)(5))/ 2

Notice that we get 2 plus and minus square root of -16.

Which is an imagery/ complex solution.

The value of x could be 2+i4/2 or 2-i4/2
