Steps:

7/6 + 1/3

= 7/6 + (1×2)/(3×2) (here we made the denominators the same)

= 7/6 + 2/6

= (7+2)/6 (now we can add the numerators)

= 9/6

= 3/2 (here we simplified the fraction)
