the reason why the Pilgrims first corn crop such a successful one was because the Soil was good and the native American helped them to grow the crop. Back then, Native American has developed a method to create a natural fertilizer, by mixing fish with seeds and spread it across the land to help bring nutrients for the soilHope this helps.
