to find the slope, first you have to put the equation in the slope intercept form, which is y=mx + b

to do that, you have y - 3x = -1
you want to get y alone so add 3x to both sides
you’ll get y= 3x -1
so your m (slope) is 3

now your y intercept is always your constant which in this case is -1

answer: slope= 3x
y intercept: -1

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Think of the equation y = mx + b

So the m is the slope and the b is the y-intercept

m/slope= 3 b/y-intercept= -1
