Which word in this sentence is a preposition? The lazy pig rolled slowly around the muddy pen.

A preposition is a word that links to a pronoun or noun.

Lazy is an Adjective, Pig is a noun, Rolled is a verb, and slowly is the adverb. Thus I would have to say Around is the preposition.
