[tex]f(x) = x + 2[/tex]

[tex]y = x + 2[/tex]

Subtract the sides of the equation minus 2

[tex]y - 2 = x[/tex]

So ;

[tex] {f}^{ - 1}(x) = x - 2 [/tex]
